PSCE, as part of The Search & Rescue project conveyed a Workshop on “People with Disabilities in Search & Rescue Operations” that took place online (Webex) on 30 March 2021 from 9h50 until 12H00 CET.
High level experts from EU institution DG EMPL and the international organisation European Disability Forum provided an overview of existing disability-inclusive developments in EU framework and initiatives in humanitarian and search and rescue operations. This was complemented by a view from on-the-ground practitioners (Firefighter, Observatory member and Project manager) who shared their experience as well as guidelines on emergency preparedness for people with disabilities.
