How the IoT is changing the face of Healthcare and Pubic Safety

Real-world applications of the online and Internet of Things (IoT) revolutions are still in their nascent stages, but are coming to the healthcare and public safety sectors in more ways than one. The IoT has long shown promise for improving public safety and health thanks to its ability of improving the efficiency and accuracy of current processes. Advances are quickly being made in relevant IoT applications, such as GPS-mapping technology, wearable tech, and smart objects, but new opportunities and applications arise even faster than we’re able to integrate them into our systems.

EMYNOS Newsletter #4 + Technical Newsletter #2 available

EMYNOS is a H2020 project dealing with the next stage of emergency communications. Τhe main objective of the project is the design and implementation of a  platform capable of accommodating rich-media emergency calls that combine voice, text, and video, thus constituting a powerful tool for coordinating communication among citizens, call centers and first responders.

State of the union 2017

On Wednesday 13 September, as every year at the same period, the President of the European Commission delivered his State of the Union Address before the European Parliament, taking stock of achievements of the past year and presenting priorities for the year ahead. Unsuprisingly, given the current climate, much emphasis was put on security.
